Looking for a mission to support? We’d love for you to be a part of ours! Junior League of Abilene is committed to enhancing the lives of children in our community, a mission we would not be able to achieve without the generosity of our many donors.  With the support we receive from our partners in the community we are able to fund six important projects: CarePack for Kids,  Community Partners, PAVE (Providing Assistance and Volunteer Experience), the Homeless Youth Program, and Suds Buds.

Any size gift to the Junior League of Abilene will make an impact on the community, as even just $1.00 can provide a hygiene pack to a student in need as part of the Suds Buds program! While all of our donors have enabled us to help the children of Abilene, we would be remiss if we did not give special thanks to former member, Julia “Judy” Jones Matthews. Matthews’ devotion to the community will be forever remembered through the continuing legacies of the projects, foundations, and causes that she, along with her family’s organization, The Dodge Jones Foundation, so generously supported. Matthews passed away on November 17, 2016, at the age of 97, but her gifts to the community will live on through all of us.

We’re grateful for the support of corporate partners and in-kind sponsors, as well as the generosity of individual donors. Each contribution truly makes a difference in the lives of those we serve.

2025–2026 Junior League of Abilene Impact Numbers

• 672 volunteer hours and $68,780.41 raised through Christmas Carousel, benefiting the Junior League of Abilene and our community partners.
• 122 volunteer hours and $11,000 raised through Rhinestone Round Up.
• $5,000 raised during Abilene Gives to support the League’s mission.
• $2,098.11 raised through the Target Circle community giving program.
• 1,506 volunteer hours dedicated to assembling and distributing CarePacks to local students facing food insecurity.
• 87 volunteer hours making hygiene kits, laundry detergent, and lice kits to more than 4,500 local students and families through the Suds Buds project.
• 70 volunteer hours dedicated to hosting League of Trucks, a free, family-friendly event where children explored emergency vehicles, heavy equipment, and careers through interactive, hands-on experiences.
• 47 volunteer hours providing Feeding Bright Futures bags filled with groceries, ingredients, and cooking supplies, empowering local families to prepare healthy meals at home.
• 24 volunteer hours supporting students experiencing homelessness by providing hygiene products, clothing, laundry supplies, and other essential resources through the Homeless Youth Project.
• 22 volunteer hours devoted to member education and leadership training.

Junior League members also supported the Fort Imagination Rebuild, helping invest in a stronger future for children and families in our community.

Together, Junior League of Abilene members contributed more than 2,800 volunteer hours, invested in leadership development, and raised over $86,000 to strengthen the Big Country through volunteer action, collaboration, and community impact.
